In a world awash with food, recipe, and cooking blogs, it’s tough to decide upon which to bookmark and label as a favorite. It seems as though there are thousands of new cooking blogs appearing every day. Probably because there are. I think I read once that 6 million+ new blog posts are written daily. That’s astounding. As far as new blogs (websites) themselves, that one is tough to quantify. Most never rank, so they’re never included in any data.
All of this is neither here nor there – what is here or there is that we need to filter through the fluff; cut through the chaff. We need to find the top food blogs that we deem the best of the best. Websites that have been around for years and that produce new content, such as recipes, cooking tips, and all around great information, regularly. Recipe blogs that have a strong social media following and that host insanely good food photography. After all, these are the types of sites we all love to look at and bookmark for another day. These are the types of sites that will make it on my list below.
Top Food Blogs (The Big List)
What you’ll find below is considered a rolling list, meaning, as a cooking blog drops out of existence, I’ll remove it. Also, as a new blog appears and takes the world by storm, I’ll add it. Sometimes, the list may contain fewer than 50 blogs and sometimes more. I’m not an exact person, so please take my numbers and figures with a grain of salt. Let’s get to it, shall we? Oh yeah – please don’t think these blogs below are in any particular order of importance. They’re all great. I just had to start somewhere.
PS – If you found your name on this list, please leave me a comment down below. Did I get it right? Was your write-up accurate? I’d love to hear from you!
Sally’s Baking Addiction
If there’s one person who’s dedicated to food blogging and baking, it’s Sally McKenney. Sally is the impetus behind her blog. She does it all and if you visit her, you’ll find a seemingly endless array of baking recipes, from bread to breakfast to cakes to cookies to pies. It’s fantastic really – the breadth and depth of Sally’s website. If you aren’t familiar with baking, it’s no joke. Yes, you can easily prepare a simple cake from a box, but when you start baking from scratch, it’s an entirely different story. Sally’s creations look insanely high quality and delicious. It’s no wonder she’s so popular. Visit Website
Deliciously Ella
If you’d like to read an inspirational story, stop by Deliciously Ella’s About page. Talk about a remarkable turnaround. After not knowing how to cook as well as being diagnosed with a debilitating condition, Ella has managed to learn to cook, start a blog, write cookbooks, create a food app, create and sell food products, and open a restaurant in London. I mean, really? This website is awesome. If you’re into plant based cuisine, I encourage you to stop by this blog for a visit. Think pancakes, smoothies, and avocado toast. It’s entirely appetizing. Visit Website
Cookie + Kate
Kathryne (Kate) Taylor has been food blogging since 2010 and has since committed herself to her blog full time. It’s no wonder – with all the attention she’s received from fans all over the world, any of us would have done the same. Why is Kate so popular? I’d venture to guess it has something to do with her recipes. First, there’s a seemingly endless supply of them and second, they look incredible. Think baking, breakfast, cookies, desserts, drinks, entrees, salads, sides, snacks, soups, and stews. I’m partial to the peach crisp and the foolproof Basque cheesecake, but hey, that’s just me. Visit Website
Love and Lemons
Jeanine launched Love and Lemons as a vegetarian alternative to the many meat-focused food blogs online. I’d say she’s done an incredible job of it because her website is ranked near the top of every list I see. Jeanine’s blog focuses on the big three; breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but also offers recipes for vegan and gluten-free dishes as well. Cookbook? Yes – it’s called “Feel Good Food.” Instagram? Yes – with nearly a half million followers. You need to check this one out. Visit Website
Budget Bytes
If this website offered sound, I think it’d be music to my ears. They say “We believe good food doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive.” I love that. The reason is, good food doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. It really doesn’t. What good food depends on is its initial idea, its ingredients, and its execution. And Budget Bytes seems to have taken care of all three. Way back in 2009, Beth Moncel created her website with the focus of saving money. She still wanted to eat well, but didn’t want to pay for all those expensive ingredients. She tweaked a few things here and there and has come up with a whole lotta ways to prepare some pretty awesome dishes on a budget. Honestly though, don’t let the word budget throw you. Beth’s dishes are out of this world good. Visit Website
Minimalist Baker
This food blog’ ‘s got a pretty good shtick. It claims that each of their recipes requires only a few things: 10 ingredients or fewer, 1 bowl, and 30 minutes or less to prepare. That’s not bad. People love easy to make dishes and desserts and as far as I can tell, not many folks are interested in spending a whole lot of time in the kitchen. Minimalist Baker offers weekly savory and sweet recipes for dessert, breakfast, entrees, side dishes, and snacks. And again, all recipes are EASY. I like it. But what kind of recipes are available on this site? How about Pumpkin Coffee Cake, Quinoa Breakfast Cookies, and Vegan Green Chili Casserole? Sounds good to me. With 2.1 million followers on Instagram, they’ve got to be doing something right. Visit Website
Smitten Kitchen
Launching a blog over 16 years ago, avoiding pretentious and somewhat replaceable ingredients while cooking (truffle oil, Himalayan pink salt, single-origin chocolate – I love this), and becoming a smashing success because of excellent food and lots of personality will earn a person over 1.8 million followers on Instagram. This is exactly what Deb Perelman has done and I’m thrilled to add Smitten Kitchen to my list of the best food blogs out there. If you click on Deb’s recipe page, you’ll find links to 100s of recipes. Good ones! Recipes like Short Rib Onion Soup, Oven-Braised Beef with Tomatoes and Garlic, and Shaved Asparagus Frittata. Now that’s pretty good! Visit Website
101 Cookbooks
I think Heidi Swanson and I would get along just fine. I enjoy healthy homemade dishes and Heidi offers over 700 recipes for them on her blog. I enjoy vegetarian, vegan, and whole food dishes. Just as luck would have it, this is exactly what’s featured on 101 Cookbooks. Dessert, soup, pasta? She’s got that too. Besides the incredible recipes for dishes such as Roasted Delicata Squash, Shaker Apple Pie, and Homemade Pappardelle, I think I simply enjoy the premise of the blog the most. Heidi seems to be a very down to earth person and it shows in her writing and photography. Her recipes are targeted towards the home cook. Also, she uses her website as her “home base,” which is exactly what I do. And finally, Heidi has worked her way through her favorite cookbooks and has shared her interpretation of the enclosed recipes with the world. Sounds familiar. Perfect. Visit Website
Recipe Girl
Lori Lange is probably the most famous food blogger in the world. I’ve seen some well known bloggers in my day, but nothing like this one. Lori has written recipes and has worked with some huge brands, such as Gold Medal Flour, Pepperidge Farm, Kraft, Betty Crocker, to name a few. She’s written a cookbook, has appeared on QVC, has judged alongside Paula Deen, and has done even more than that. And we haven’t even gotten to her website yet! As far as Lori’s recipes go, they’re fabulous. As it stands right now, there are over 3000 of them, ranging from Coq au Vin, Strawberry Cream Cheese Crepes, Cast Iron Peach Cornbread, all the way to Chicken Fricassee. What an full-ranging and well rounded website. Visit Website
Vegan Richa
Vegetarian Indian food is probably the best tasting food on earth. I mean it – there’s nothing like it. It’s delicious and that’s why I was excited to find Vegan Richa’s food blog. Based in Seattle, Richa focuses primarily on vegan Indian as well as other dishes. She’s got a huge group of (millions) of followers who adore her recipes and she’s been rated as one of the top 50 Indian food blogs. Richa even sells cookbooks; Vegan Richa’s Indian Kitchen, Vegan Richa’s Everyday Kitchen, and Vegan Richa’s Instant Pot Cookbook. If you ask me, that’s pretty huge. As far as recipes go, Richa offers many. Here are a few examples: Pumpkin Pie Crisp, One-Pot Vegan Kadhi Noodles, and Baklava Cheesecake. You really need to stop by this blog to check it out. Visit Website
Chocolate Covered Katie
Katie Higgins is extraordinarily popular. She created and operates one of the 25 most popular food blogs in American and has been featured in some legit media; CNN, The Today Show, Fox, The Huffington Post, and more. As her blog’s name suggests, Katie primarily focuses on desserts and chocolate, but don’t let that stop you from visiting her website if you’re interested in breakfast, lunch, and dinner recipes too. There are plenty to choose from. But really, back to the chocolate – her photos look divine. Not a bad idea to start a blog about one of America’s favorite foods. Stop by for a visit. Visit Website
Pinch of Yum
If you’ve been in the food blogging scene for any amount of time, you’ve surely heard of Pinch of Yum. Lindsay Ostrom launched her blog in 2010 while she was teaching 4th grade. Her blog rocketed to the top and now it’s firmly positioned as one of the most popular in the U.S. With over 750 recipes from which to choose, you’ll not likely be at a loss any time soon. And there’s a wide variety available too! From vegan to pasta to soups, it’s all there. Here’s a helpful tip: if you’re looking for a specific type of recipe, you can browse Lindsay’s Recipes page. Everything is broken down there, from most popular to recipe type, course, and more. Or, you can simply browse all recipes at once. So so easy. Visit Website
Two Peas & Their Pod
If a person can break 1000 followers on Instagram, they’d be doing well. What if someone could break 346k? I’d say they’re doing very well. That’s Two Peas & Their Pod. A highly popular food blog that’s run by Maria Lichty and her husband Josh. Maria offers a cookbook that’s named after her blog as well as another that’s called Let’s Eat Cookies. I think you can guess what the latter is about. This blog features all types of recipes, such as main dishes, salads, cookies, desserts, breakfast, brunch, vegetarian, appetizers, pasta, and side dishes. What’s nice too is that all of Maria’s recipes are broken down by easy to follow categories, which makes browsing her site simple and fast. You need to check this one out. Visit Website
RecipeJay
This is, of course, my own website. It’s the one you’re visiting. I’d be remiss not to list it here because if I didn’t think it was one of the best food blogs on the internet today, I shouldn’t be working on it as much as I do, which is my every waking moment. What is RecipeJay (or Recipe Jay)? It’s the place I discuss how to cook, what to cook, and what cooking might look like to you. I’ve limited my conversation to three categories: Essentials, Recipes, and Learn. Recipes and Learn are self explanatory, but Essentials is where I talk about industry concerns, such as the very page you’re browsing (Top 50 Food Blogs & Bloggers). I talk about the who’s who and the places we eat. Things like that. Overall though, this is primarily a recipe website. I take great pride in my cooking as well as my ability to convey not only the photography and instruction that will enable you to do the same, but the nuance behind each dish. After all, without the nuance, the dish just isn’t the dish it has the potential to be. Visit Website
Sprouted Kitchen
Sara and Hugh Forte have created an extremely popular and well received website that’s a bit different than the rest. If you visit the standard food blog, you’ll see a very familiar WordPress template. The Sprouted Kitchen template is nothing like the rest. It’s, dare I say, elegant. It’ll take some getting used to, but when you do, you’ll whiz about searching for recipe after recipe from their extensive collection. Personally, I come to this site for the photography. As I understand it, Hugh is self taught and prides himself on his work, as he should. This duo offers something called the Sprouted Kitchen Cooking Club, a subscription service, that’ll streamline your meal preparation. They’ve also published two cookbooks. If that isn’t commitment wrapped in success, I don’t know what is. Visit Website
Southern Cast Iron
I’ve been taking advantage of Southern Cast Iron’s recipes for years. If you’ve never visited, I implore you to do so today. Since I own a collection of cast iron cookware, it was only natural that I began using them in the manner they were intended to be used. This website is exactly what I needed. And the recipes lead to dishes that are just so good. Dishes like Shrimp with Lemon and Capers, Southwest Turkey Burger, and Creole Tomato Pie. But oh no, my friends, cast iron cooking brings us desserts as well (plus a heck of a lot more). Desserts such as Blueberry Shortcakes with Macerated Peaches, Skillet Strawberry Layer Cake, and White Chocolate and Macadamia Blondies. Are you starting to see why I love this website so much? You need to get over there fast! Visit Website
Serious Eats
This website is more than your typical food blog. Yes, Serious Eats offers recipes by course, ingredient, cuisine, method, diet, holiday, and season, it also offers a large section on cooking techniques. Beyond that, the website offers a sections on world cuisine, equipment, ingredients, and a Featured section that focuses on dining out, food history, food industry, food science, and personal essays. Basically, it’s a huge site that’ll teach you pretty much everything there is to know about food and cooking. It’s no wonder the website receives over 8 million visits per month. Serious Eats has been around since 2006, so if you haven’t visited yet, it’ll sure be worth your time. Visit Website
Green Kitchen Stories
If you’re looking for a vegetable tattoo, Green Kitchen Stories is the website to visit. The tattoos are sold on it. What a neat idea. Overall, David Frenkiel and Luise Vindahl have constructed and continue to add to quite the interesting blog. It’s chock full of vegetarian dishes that lean way toward natural ingredients, whole grains, good fats, fruit, and vegetables. As far as the recipes for the actual dishes go, everything looks stupidly good, meaning VERY good. My favorites are the Classic Chocolate Cake, Basil & Walnut Pesto, and the Rose Hip Christmas Truffles. The recipes for these wonderful dishes are straightforward and east to follow. The photos are just as good. Check this one out, for sure. Visit Website
Damn Delicious
Chungah Rhee began sharing recipes in 2011 and turned what was once a lightly trafficked Tumblr account into a full time blog. She’s even got a team of skilled individuals working to keep the website as best it can be. I’ll tell you one thing – it shows. The team is doing an excellent job. Like a few other more popular food blogs, Chungah breaks her recipes down by category, season, and ingredient. This is extremely helpful when browsing through the 100s of beautiful dishes. You can even browse by tag to further refine your search. Chungah offers recipes for exquisite dishes, examples being Loaded Smashed Potatoes, Sesame Chicken Kabobs, and Cinnamon Pretzel Sugar Bites. You can’t get much better than that. Visit Website
Closet Cooking
I love this website. Kevin Lynch has done a tremendous job with posting recipes for incredible looking dishes. What instantly drew my eye as I was reviewing this site was his collection of 50 Thanksgiving Day dishes. I love collections like this as it makes finding and saving related recipes for days like this just so much easier. Kevin also breaks his recipes down nicely in a variety of ways; Top Recipes, 30 Minute Meals, 6 Ingredient Meals, Slow Cooker Meals, One Pan Meals, By Course, By Diet, By Meat, By Cuisine, By Type, and By Ingredient. This type of organization makes it so much easier when someone wants to head directly to what they need, as opposed to clicking around. What types of recipes are on offer? Good question: Chicken and Avocado Burritos, Pesto Grilled Shrimp, Cilantro and Lime Salmon, and a heck of a lot more. Nice job on the website! Visit Website
Ambitious Kitchen
Ambitious Kitchen was created by Monique Volz in 2011 and was inspired by Monique’s Puerto Rican mother while she showed a young Monique the ropes in the kitchen. What has transpired since those early days is truly astonishing. Ambitious Kitchen certainly lives up to its name – it hosts 100s of recipes for divine looking dishes. It also delves into lifestyle, travel, and workouts, to name a few ancillary areas of interest. As far as the recipes go, the site runs the gamut, from desserts to appetizers to drinks. Pretty much everything is available. For now, try these on for size: Healthy Pumpkin Oatmeal Pancakes, One Pan Tomato Basil Baked Orzo, and One Pan Lightened Up Hamburger Helper. Everything looks incredible. Visit Website
Love and Olive Oil
If you’re looking for a food blog that’s based out of the south (Nashville, Tennessee to be exact), look no further. Lindsey and Taylor and have been working for years to bring you just that. And bring us that they do. I’d like to say this blog has got a southern flair, but many of the shared recipes can easily stem from other places in the U.S. or even around the world. However, the skillet breakfasts and waffles are almost certainly southern. I will tell you this – Love and Olive Oil offers some of the sharpest, most inviting, and highest quality food photography I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot. I’m willing to say that every single shot is either perfect or nearly perfect. It’s something you need to see to appreciate. As for the recipes, some descriptive examples might be Moonshine-Glazed Doughnuts, Sweet & Spicy Candied Pistachios. and Creamy-Garlic Chicken Pasta. It all looks so delicious. I’m begging you to stop by for a visit. Visit Website
Get On My Plate
Casey Rooney has done a splendid job of bringing the world recipes for some outstanding looking dishes. Hundreds of them, to be precise. The best part is, she categorizes her recipes the traditional way (by type – Air Fryer, Appetizers, Breakfast, Crockpot/Instant Pot, Dessert, Dinner, Pasta, Salad, Sides, and Soup), but also breaks things down by ingredient, which is simply awesome. So if you’re in the mood to prepare a dish that’s centered around chicken, have at it. If you’d like something based on seafood, the recipes are right there waiting for you. Very cool. What types of dishes are available? How about Sausage and Spinach Christmas Quiche, Perfect Cranberry Orange Pound Cake, or Cast Iron Skillet Lasagna? How does that sound? Nearly perfect, I’d say. Spend With Pennies
Holly Nilsson lives in Vancouver, Canada and has some serious experience with cooking. Actually, she’s been doing it for over 25 years, which I’d say gives her lots of street cred. She cooks for family and friends and through the years, she’s honed her process to such a degree that she’s confident enough to bring her recipes to us. We’re thankful for that because her dishes are beautiful. Broken down by almost every category imaginable, I don’t think you’ll have any issue finding what you need. What do you need? I’ll give you a few suggestions. These are my favorites: Zuppa Toscana, Butternut Squash Soup, and Homemade Apple Crisp, but hey, that’s just me. You’ll need to visit Holly’s website to find your new favorites. Visit Website
Salt & Lavender
I don’t mean to toot my own horn here, but I was on the scene when Natasha from Salt & Lavender was just a fresh new food blogger. I interviewed her for one of my previous blogs. She’s as kind and personable as her About page photos depict. Natasha’s located in Vancouver, British Columbia and has been extremely busy since last we chatted. At the time of this writing, her Instagram following has grown to a whopping 656k, which is simply out of this world. Her food blog has grown by leaps and bounds as well, becoming super popular. For good reason – her recipes are stellar. Honestly, you need to check them out. If her photography doesn’t do it for you, I’m not sure what will. My favorites are Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo Bake, Three Cheese Mac and Cheese Gnocchi, and Instant Pot Hamburger Soup. I mean, c’mon. Awesome. Stop by today to check her out. Visit Website
Food52
With over 3.6 million followers on Instagram, I’m willing to say that Food52 is where it’s at if you want to talk food. The website is huge and it boasts tens of millions of visitors from all over the world. It even shares James Beard award winning articles and not to mention writes New York Times best selling cookbooks. As far as the community driven recipe collection goes, it’s broken down about 60 different ways. Let’s just say you’ll find what you’re looking for. Members share their own recipes, so you’ll discover a never ending variety of food on offer. This one is not to be missed. Visit Website
Balanced Bites
Balanced Bites is much more than a recipe blog. It’s more of a complete food education/food preparation and delivery/recipe site. It kind of does it all. Yes, you may find many recipes for healthy and delicious looking dishes on this website, but you’ll also find a solution for your food preparation issues. If you’re far too busy to do regular shopping at your local grocery store, you can order food and have it delivered right to your doorstep. Diane Sanfilippo is the force behind this site. She’s so many things; an author, holds more degrees and certifications than you can count, runs the website, operates nutrition programs, and more. If you’re looking for a healthy alternative to your problems at the grocery store, you might want to check out this site. And there are tons of excellent recipes too, if you’re into cooking yourself. Chef’s Pencil
Launched in 2009 by Chef Paul Hegeman, a Dutch chef based in Sydney, Australia, Chef’s Pencil has quickly risen to the spot of indispensable resource for anyone who’d like to learn more about food preparation from actual chefs. And chefs there are. On this website, each chef has his or her own page with their contributed recipes listed therein. The best part is, Chef’s Pencil plays host to hundreds of chefs. Not dozens, hundreds. It’s almost startling to see such a comprehensive resource available to interested folks such as ourselves. What kinds of recipes you ask? From real chefs? How about Pan-Seared Barramundi with Salsa, Apple Shaped Dessert with White Chocolate and Apple Jelly, or Smoked & Poached Lobster on Parsnip Puree & Paprika Butter Sauce? The more I browsed around this resource, the more I realized how top-level the available information is. It really needs to be seen. Visit Website
The Recipe Critic
The Recipe Critic is an all-around great food blog. As Alyssa says on her site, her recipes are tried and true, which is refreshing considering how many, well, let’s just say, untried and untrue recipes there are floating around out there. Talk about frustrating. Based in Utah, Alyssa Rivers launched The Recipe Critic in 2012 after experimenting with cooking for her family and friends. It was during this experimentation she learned what worked and what didn’t. I’ll tell you one thing: whatever Alyssa is doing, she’s doing it well because she’s earned herself a MASSIVE social media following. Over 11 million Facebook followers? That’s incredible. How about those recipes – here are some examples of her wonderful dishes: Grandma’s Perfect Fluffy Pancakes, Creamy Chicken Alfredo Dip, Brown Sugar Garlic Air Fryer Salmon, and Chewy Brown Butter Blondies. Everything looks so good so stop by for a visit today! Visit Website
The Kitchn
The Kitchn dates all the way back to 2005 and has grown to garner a current audience of 29 million visitors per month. The website was initially launched by interior designer Maxwell Ryan and has a management staff of around ten talented folks today, plus dozens of editors and contributors. To say this is a “cooking” website is an understatement. It’s more like a cooking universe. Yes, The Kitchn offers recipes, but it also features sections that pertain to groceries, kitchen life overall, as well as the people who make kitchens what they are. This is the type of website you’d want to subscribe to if you were interested in joining the culinary world. Even if you didn’t want to join that world, you might want to bookmark this website for interesting reading as well as captivating photography. The Kitchn should be on just about everyone’s list. David Lebovitz
If you ever wanted to learn anything about being a pastry chef, you might want to ask David Lebovitz a few questions. He’s been working in the restaurant industry since he was 16 years old. He’s worked under some top names, has authored cookbooks, has run a “food blog” for over twenty years, and has even had his website win the blog of the decade award by Saveur magazine. If that’s not street cred, I’m not sure what is. David’s blog is great. It’s simple in appearance, but comprehensive in production. David offers lots of helpful information regarding Paris life and has written and shared many, many recipes for insanely delicious looking dishes. His recipe categories are also broken down enough to help avoid clicking and scrolling aimlessly. Basically, you’ll find what you’re looking for within a few easy clicks. Let’s see some sample dish names: James Beard’s Amazing Persimmon Bread Recipe, Milk Chocolate Chip Amaro Ice Cream, and Spicy Mushroom Lasagna. It doesn’t hurt that David’s photography is simply outstanding as well. Overall, I would have to say that this is definitely one of my favorite food blogs. I can’t say one negative thing about it. My Name is Yeh
Molly Yeh launched her website in 2009. It’s not the traditional food blog like most of the others you’ll find on this page; it’s much more of a journal. Molly writes and documents her life, which just so happens to be filled with food. I like the format. It’s natural and it draws a crowd who’s looking for more than just recipes. Molly’s blog offers a glimpse into her life. The thing is, while this may seem like a regular blog with recipes inserted into it, the recipes that are posted are divine. Go ahead, visit Molly’s recipe page and click a few of the links found there. Check out her cakes. To start, the photography is stunning. Also, the desserts our top notch. In particular, search the website for Chocolate Macaroon Cake with Orange Buttercream, Basil Mascarpone Buttercream Frosted Chocolate Cake, and Biscuit Donuts with Naturally Colored Glazes. Very high-end indeed. It’s something you need to see. Visit Website
Skinnytaste
What does Skinnytaste mean? Basically, it’s a recipe for the slimmed down version of a full-fat dish. Not a bad idea, right? That’s what Gina Homolka thought way back in 2008 when she created her website. I guess the rest of the world thought it was a great idea too because since that time, Gina has written best-selling cookbooks, has had millions of hungry folks visit her website, and currently has over 2 million followers on Instagram. But why? I’ll tell you why. Because people like what Gina is doing. She made it possible to enjoy your favorite dish in a healthier way. Let’s have some example dish titles: Pumpkin Baked Oatmeal Cups, Protein Bagels with Cottage Cheese, and Cajun Chicken Pasta. It’s all on her site; hundreds and hundreds of recipes and the best part is, if you visit the Skinnytaste Category Index, you’ll find the recipes broken down by category, course, ingredient, season, and holiday. That’s pretty awesome if you ask me. Visit Website
How to Feed a Loon
Kris Longwell and Wesley Loon are two of the most entertaining food bloggers on the internet today. If you’re looking for something different, but that still offers awesome cooking tips and great recipes, How to Feed a Loon is for you. The banter between these two is unbelievable. Totally funny, casual, relaxed, and everything else you’d think it would be. You can find Kris and Wesley pretty much anywhere, from YouTube to their website to Pinterest and Instagram to their very own TV show. The best part about the empire they’ve created is the professionalism involved. Yes, both are fun and entertaining, but their recipes are spot on and they reply to most, if not all, comments on their blog. That says a lot. Looking for some sample recipes? Here goes: Thai Beef With Red Curry Sauce, Lazy Day Blueberry Cobbler, and Deep-Dish Pizza With Sausage And Spinach. Sounds good, right? Visit Website
Jo Cooks
If Instagram followers is any indication of success, let it be known that Joanna Cismaru’s got over a quarter million of them. Why? Oh, I don’t know. Perhaps it’s because Jo has been cooking for over 30 years and has some serious street cred. Of maybe it’s because she’s a wonder at making delicious one-pot meals in under 30 minutes. Or could it be because of all her awesome looking pasta and soup dishes? That’s not all she offers, but those happen to be my favorites and are the ones that caught my eye immediately after visiting her recipe index. Jo Cooks is a serious website for those who are looking to elevate tonight’s dinner. Check out the names of these dishes and see if you agree: Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers, Slow Cooker Pepper Steak, and Easy Chicken Alfredo Pasta Bake. And that’s just for dinner. Don’t even get me started on breakfast, lunch, and dessert. You really need to visit this website. Visit Website

Natasha’s Kitchen
Natasha Kravchuk means business. She moved to the United States at four years old as a Ukrainian refugee and has since married her husband Vadim. Both Natasha and Vadim have been running Natasha’s Kitchen since 2009. The reason I say Natasha means business is because she prides herself on her recipes actually working. She won’t post a recipe having it any other way. She’s grown her website into being over 1200 recipes strong and she receives over 19 million visitor per month. Even on YouTube she’s got over 3 million subscribers. If you ever thought there weren’t that many people searching for recipes, you may have been wrong. Natasha and Vadim are proof that awesome content and hard work can become a huge success. Here’s an example of recipes from this website: Best Ever Deviled Eggs, Chocolate Banana Bread, and Smash Burger with Easy Sauce. This one definitely deserves a visit. Visit Website
Simply Recipes
Simply Recipes is one of those food websites that pops up in Google search when I’m looking for the perfect Thanksgiving Day side dish. I seem to remember it being around forever. I’ve used countless recipes I’ve found on it and have had very good luck with them. Simply Recipes was launched in 2003 and since that time, they’ve grown their arsenal of recipes to over 3000 and receive 15 million visits per month. Can you imagine having that type of traffic to your website? This site is quite comprehensive. It’s Recipes section is broken down into easy to follow subcategories and there are even sections for quick and easy recipes, tips and tricks, cooking fundamentals, ingredient guides, seasonal recipes, and food and cooking related conversation. If you’re looking for a tried and true recipe, this is your website. If you’re looking for information that’ll help you become a better cook, this is still your website. Stop by to learn more today. Carlsbad Cravings
The first thing I notice when I visit the Carlsbad Cravings website is the diversity of dishes. And not only that, the diversity of colors contained within the dishes. I’m not sure how Jennifer Sattley did it or if she even intended to, but everything looks great. Jen’s photography is on point and I can tell that she’s put a ton of work into her website. On her About page, Jen talks about sharing recipes for dishes that have big and bold flavors. I can attest to the fact that she’s living up to her claims. Years ago, I used one of Jen’s recipes to create some divinely intense and garlicky Hasselback Potatoes. The dish came out just as Jen claimed it would and since then, I haven’t tasted any type of potato dish that’s comparable. When visiting Carlsbad Cravings, look for the Oven Baked Pork Tenderloin, Easy Mexican Chicken Crock Pot, and Slow Cooker French Dip recipes. Those are definitely the visitor favorites and I can see why. Visit Website
The First Mess
Laura Wright has created what I can only describe as a truly inspirational food blog. Even if you don’t restrict yourself to a plant-based diet, her vegan dishes are simply stunning to look at and a person can only imagine how delicious they taste. Honestly, stop by to visit The First Mess. What photography! What food! Laura hails from the Niagara region of southern Ontario, Canada and has won many accolades for her cooking as well as her cookbook titled The First Mess Cookbook. If you take a look at her most popular recipes, you’ll quickly learn why over a quarter million people follow Laura on Instagram. Her pictures are out of this world. Here are a few examples of some recipes shared on this website: Kale Power Salad with Spicy Almond Dressing, Creamy Lemon Orzo with Chickpeas & Broccoli, and Pizza Night Salad. If I wasn’t vegan before, I think I might consider it now. Stop by for a visit today. Visit Website

I remember when Tania Sheff was starting out as a food blogger in 2015. I had actually launched a food blog the same year. While hers went insanely popular within six months, mine, well…mine didn’t get as popular. The reason behind Tania’s success is her awesome personality and her take on food. She prides herself on sharing recipes for dishes that include a vegetable and grain-packed diet full of wholesome ingredients. While there are a few recipes for dishes on the more naughty side, most of what Tania shares is fairly health oriented. Like what?, you ask. How about: Cabbage Pancakes, Squid Ink Pasta with Shrimp, and Mediterranean Quinoa Salad. What a great job Tania has done on her website through the years. I’m proud to add her to this list. Half Baked Harvest
This is one of my all-time favorite food blogs. Tieghan Gerard has done such a wonderful job with everything since her early days of blogging. I can remember when I first laid eyes on her converted barn and was in awe of her studio. If I could have half of that studio, oh the work I could do. Alas, I’ll deal with my kitchen. Tieghan has made some outstanding dishes through the years and I can’t even tell you how many of her recipes I’ve tried. Every dish came out stunningly. On the Half Baked Harvest website, yes, you’ll find Tieghan’s recipes. You’ll also find meal plans as well as an Essentials section that’ll guide you through those common kitchen tasks you’ll need to complete more often than not – browning butter, making taco shells, mayo – that sort of thing. This is a comprehensive website that definitely deserves a visit. Visit Website
Recipe Tin Eats
Recipe Tin Eats has been around a very long time. I can remember visiting Nagi’s website years and years ago and after revisiting it recently, I’m happy to see that she’s not just continuing on with her fantastic recipes and cooking, but that she’s helping her community overcome food insecurity as well. For more on that, please visit Nagi’s About page. Recipe Tin Eats focuses on down-to-earth, easy to make, fast, and fresh cooking. Think: busy weeknight, you just got home from work, and would love to put a meal together that’s not a huge project. That’s what this website is about. Oh yeah, it’s also about being cost conscious as well. I have to tell you something though – you wouldn’t know Nagi’s dishes to be so easy to prepare as well as affordable. That’s the best part about it; they look delicious! Some samples you say? Here you go: Vietnamese Caramel Ginger Chicken, Bok Choy in Ginger Sauce, and Chocolate Cream Pie. So many appetizing dishes to choose from. Hmmm… Visit Website
Baker By Nature
I think Ashley Manila has pretty much outdone about 95% of food bloggers out there with all the work she’s put into her website. It’s the real deal. I was reading her About page and learned that she used to use a Canon T1i for all her photography, but has since upgraded to a Canon 5D. Personally, I think Ashley’s older photos look great. Her new photos look stellar, so yes, the camera and lens upgrade definitely added a lot. Speaking of a lot – there are a lot of awesome looking dishes on this website. Hundreds of them. The recipes are rock solid and well thought out. They’re as comprehensive and they can be. Ashley offers advice about ingredients and technique and so much more in nearly each and every recipe. That’s extremely helpful for those of us who aren’t so skilled at cooking and baking. And as you may have guessed by her website’s name, a healthy portion of the recipes available on Baker by Nature have to do with desserts and to be more specific, chocolate. I see no problem there. So because of the recipes, the chocolate, and the photography, I’m thinking you should get over to this blog for a visit! Visit Website
The Pioneer Woman
You may have heard of Anne Marie Dummond, otherwise known as “Ree.” She’s the force behind the well known blog called Pioneer Woman. She’s also a writer, photographer, and television personality. Ree stars on a Food Network show called, also, Pioneer Woman. While Ree’s blog covers more than just food, I’ll tell you that the recipes on her blog really is where all the action is. At least for me. Ree offers recipes in all the groups: Appetizers, Dinners, Desserts, Comfort Foods, To-Go, and more. It’s a chock full blog that hosts hundreds of recipes. If you can’t find what you’re looking for here, you might not be able to find it anywhere. For instance, by clicking on one post, you’ll find links to 25 different casserole dish recipes. It’s like that in there – like diving into a rabbit hole. It’s pretty awesome so I highly encourage you to stop by for a visit. Visit Website
Nutmeg Nanny
Brandy O’Neill has come a long way. From back when she first began food blogging in 2009, with her, as she claims, “Less than desirable” food photography to today – where her photography is simply stunning. Boy, what some time and experience can bring. Really, you need to check out the Nutmeg Nanny Instagram page. The photos are, well, I’ll let you be the judge. Regarding her recipes, they’re stunning as well. They’re broken down quite a bit into very descriptive categories, so that’s very helpful. Also, Brandy offers recipes for things you wouldn’t normally see on a food blog – preserving recipes, sauce and dressing recipes, as well as a handful of how-tos. I always love the how-tos because of the varied technique amateur chefs tend to employ. Overall, this blog is definitely worthy of a visit. I like it a lot. Visit Website
Love From the Oven
Christi Johnstone’s website is sweet. Really. It is. Stop by and take a look at her dessert section. And then take a look at her Instagram page. It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen. Love From the Oven features an Easy Pumpkin Recipes section for pumpkin season that offers recipes for some insanely beautiful looking dishes. And then, as if things couldn’t get better, Christi offers an entire section for Favorite Fall Recipes. Everything just looks so delicious. It’s not all dessert recipes though. On this food blog, you’ll also find tons of dinner recipes, recipes for breakfast, appetizers, and even holidays. It’s an extremely well-rounded website that I’m happy to add to this list. Taste & Tell
Deborah Harroun is a force to be reckoned with in the kitchen. She actually sounds a lot like me; she’s got lots of cookbooks and loves cooking and sharing with others. The only difference is, Deborah’s dishes are exponentially better than mine and her photography is stellar. Born way back in 2007, Taste & Tell became a tried and true resource for those looking to up their games in the kitchen. This blog shares lots of different types of recipes, such as Main Dish, Appetizers, Bread, Breakfast/Brunch, Dessert, Soup, Side Dish, Salad, and Drinks. If you’re looking to prepare something nice for dinner tonight, I’d say this one’s got you covered. Visit Website
The Foodie Affair
I like the name of this cooking blog. It’s clever. It describes what so many of us feel when it comes to delicious food we perhaps shouldn’t enjoy too much of. Ah, such is life. Sandra has done an excellent job creating and building her blog and her recipes are proof of that. She began in 2012 and during her spare time enjoys cooking and sharing what she makes with the world. As I was reading through Sandra’s About page, I stopped at this one line: “I’m not a writer, photographer, or chef.” I love that. Such refreshing honesty. How about this – Sandra’s an old-fashioned home-taught cook. These are the best kind. The recipes on this site are broken down nicely by Course, Diet, and Type and beyond that, there are plenty of subcategories to choose from. You won’t get lost on this site as the navigation is excellent. How about the dishes? Here are a few mouth-watering examples: Easy Refreshing Watermelon Feta Mint Salad Recipe, Apple Cranberry Chutney Recipe With Apricots, and Copycat Starbucks Skinny Mocha. Visit Website
My Baking Addiction
The first area of Jamie’s website that drew me in was her section on Baking Basics. While I’m already somewhat decent in the kitchen, I can always get better and posts like: How to Make Perfectly Round Cookies, Types of Salt, and How to Poach Eggs can only help my learning process. Honestly though, if you’re looking for recipes that will win you new friends and will make you the most popular person in town, this is your website. I urge you to simply browse through the stunning photography to start. That will whet your whistle and have to baking in no time. MBA offers many different types of recipes for many types of food: Appetizers, Cake, Cheesecake, Cookies, Dinner, and No-Bake. Here are some titles to get you started: Buttermilk Drop Biscuits, German Potato Salad, and Chicken Pot Pie Casserole. Everything looks delicious. Visit Website
Gimme Some Oven
Back in 2009, Ali was a full-time musician. Today, she’s a full-time food blogger. How cool is that? It seems that when Ali Martin puts her mind to something, that something comes to fruition. Gimme Some Oven is a thriving food blog that offers tons of recipes for some incredible looking dishes. Categories are broken down by course, cooking method, diet, and ingredient. All of Ali’s recipes can be filtered so you can find exactly what you’re looking for. Here are some example titles for you to drool over: Peanut Curry Lentil Soup, Hot or Iced Rose Latte, and Bacon Avocado Caesar Salad. I mean, everything looks good so I don’t think you can go wrong with this one. Nice job! Visit Website
The Baker’s Almanac
I’ve got a thing for scones and I’m constantly looking for new and unique recipes for them. I recently tried cinnamon as well as blueberry and since one of my favorite times of year is autumn, I’m always looking for the perfect pumpkin scone. Good thing Leslie Jeon has an awesome food blog – on that food blog is the perfect pumpkin scone recipe. Obviously, it’s not the only recipe. Leslie offers dozens of incredible looking dessert recipes, all broken down by category, season, and holiday. This website is a definite must see. The photography is stunning to look at and the recipes are easy to follow and actually quite realistic. I’m not the best baker in the world and after reading through a few dessert descriptions, I certainly feel as though my efforts might just end with success. What kind of desserts? Try these: Ultimate Homemade Cranberry Sauce, Easy Homemade Apple Crisp, and Earl Grey Macarons. Seriously? Earl Grey Macaroons? I’ve got to give them a try. Visit Website
Cafe Delites
I recently searched Google for “Pancake Recipes.” Number one in the results was Cafe Delites by Karina Carrel. I clicked the listing and was astounded, first by Karina’s photograph of some very silky looking syrup flowing over a stack of fluffy and buttery looking pancakes, and second by the comprehensive recipe and description of the dish. I was sold. After investigating the website some more, I knew I had to add it to this list. With over 610k Instagram followers, I’m surprised I hadn’t seen it sooner. Karina prides herself on offering recipes for healthy dishes that taste great. I’m always in awe of people who take such care to create these types of dishes. It’s refreshing to cook without guilt. So what are some recipe examples? How about: Chili Garlic Butter Shrimp, Artisan Bread Recipe, and Buttery Sautéed Green Bean Recipe. Sounds good to me. Stop by to say hello today. Visit Website
